Thoughts on micro nutrient fertilizers...worth the money?

Went to a meeting...lots of talk about increasing yields with micro nutrients.
Any experience or thoughts? What brands are best?

Of course they are worth the money, If you need them. Micros are just as important at Macro-nutrients but in micro its art/science to know what you need. You have to know how to read a soil test and you have to know the realtionships each nutrients plays with the others. Is the nutrient being tied up by other nutrients.

High salt fertilizers and over applying them has put most soils in an unbalanced state, just adding micros is only a band aid fix and won't bring results for a long time, its a short time fix. You need to start getting your soil back to balanced as possible, then when you add micros they will give long term good results.Every plant responds to a certain micro and with out them yield and plant health will suffer, but also micros can be toxic in not that high of amounts.

I preferr foliar applied micros when needed. But again a COMPLETE soil test is required and try a few tissue tests. Then all you need is someone who can break everything down and make sense of it all.
