I'd try putting some on in a few diagonals across
some fields. If you can georeference yield data
from your combine yield monitor, you'll be able to
detect yield differences from applying micros
without having to buck up for every acre. If it
pays, then do more the next year.
I suspect you'll find little difference in yield from
micros, but you may find responses in certain
areas or soil zones in your field. Anything is
possible though, and there are places on the
prairies where micro applications may pay.

So it would be impossible to demonstrate any
specific deficiency from what I suggested. You
wouldn't be able to tell if any response was from
the P and/or K and/or S, and/or any of the
micronutrients. Your soil isn't a cancer patient,
and cost of cure will be more of a consideration,
which leads to my next question...
Why do you think you have micronutrient
deficiency, and why not try a test trial with just
the suspected deficient nutrient?
How many micros are in this product, in what
form and amounts, and at what cost?
Your soil won't be short of the macros you
mentioned in the exact proportion supplied in a
generic blend, let alone a bunch of different
micros at the same time, so cost effectiveness
may be an issue for you as well, unless the
product is cheap enough to warrant applying the
extra nutrients to get the ones you need.

I keep saying this but quit chasing yield and look for it in everything you do. Micros play a huge role in total crop health. Every macro can be effected by a micro being to high or to low. If your crop is low in a specific micro then when you add it you may not see a huge increase in yield but in disease control or even pest control is were the difference may be seen. You may get a higher grade. So with a higher grade better quality, less or no disease or pests will require no spray then it's all money in your pocket, same as what yield gives you= money. Everything has to work same as your body you can eat the foods with the top nutrients but if your low in iron you'll be tired all day.
I advise every farmer not to exclude the thought of micros and use them if they are needed, the thing is to get a good quility package of micros. Almost every dealer now has a micro nutirient product but they are not all equal in quality effeciency and ease of use. I like the products that on jug/pail has everything in it and if your really low one specific micro can be added into it. no point of haveing 4 different pails for four diferent crops have one pail that has everything in it makes it use to use.

Sorry guys, forgot about this thread until another one showed up in the commodity room.
Anyways no, no comparisons or nothing yet. This was not the year here for that sort of stuff. Most of our seeding was done late summer and early fall for next year.
I did seed a quarter of canola with it this spring that looked like it would be written off, but to make a long story short it ended up doing 33 bu/ac in those crap conditions, with only 70 pds n sprayed on.
The main reason we went to this though is we are battling extremely high ph here and are just looking to try something different.
