Canola has made lots of combine, land and drill payments....and will continue to do so in my area. Wheat, not so much. See what the future holds.

Jensend and hobby your both Fricking nuts. What
I am saying is the new varieties that we pay a
fortune for are good for shit. We have been at the
canola game for almost 50 years and the new
super duper varieties are shit. Promis the world
and leave farmers with shit. Again this notion
nothing was done by the farmer to control disease
etc. what a crock of shit. Most in this area gave
every crop every Fricking thing out their and the
dog fu$&er who did nothing in some cases is
getting a better crop. Yea even my ESSO agent
has a 7 and that half had every thing imaginable.
So back to the topic seed companies took a crop
jacked seed price for profit for them and bred a
        retard.

Alberta is just the town pump. Havea great
          Fricking day!

and as long as you want to chase the latest unproven technology you might make the odd bad buy. seems like everyone's to blame but your choices. who knows, maybe last year you were singing the praises of the same variety. the csr's with their beer and wisdom have you convinced there's nothing that can't be beat by the chemical shed. every management plan has vulnerabilities and this year proved that in spades. is anybody going to look at the varieties that came out five years ago and maybe did better this year? i doubt it because you might lose 3 or 4 per cent in yield.

Explain why I'm now Swathing 5440 which is 4 to
five year old variety, yes seeded later but it
standing nice, virtually nothing for sclerotina aster
yellow min and by the way it's poded way better
plus the size of pods bigger, unless a hail storm
should kick L150 s ass by double. See again
explain why you just can't face facts not BS like
the CWB did with us on HRS. We're paying to
much for seed and disease control that's just not
cutting it. Or are you really a chemical rep just
snooping around. Most of the shit out their works
              in the Canola dome.

So many decisions in ag today. Expensive
                  decisions.

We have no choice but to trust the information
provided by research material. It is just possible
that none of the scads of Ag Can inspectors is
asking for proof of claims and so the onus is on
the farmer to test it himself at his own expense.
Its great to have a site like this where our test
                  results are shared.

                      SF3,

For an industry with $10B income to growers... Canola has been a life saver for the vast majority of us.

RR Tech worked super for us this year... never have had cleaner Canola crops... only one 3/4le app in crop with some lontrel. We made sure the fields were totally clean on emergence with clean start... wow...no frost... great stands.

                      Cheers
