Lots of combine fires. Sort of like house fires I. Sask lately.
Yes the port has no beans. This strike is fun to watch, a group that's sick of billshit is doing something about it. Their going to take this president down or something is going to give. Their gaining ground. But on the other side Putin just knocks off anyone who challenges hiim. Ah what a place.
Prices should go up a bit.

Maybe they should adapt the canadian sheeple way.

Build bins fuel and fertilizer storage for 2 years in advance.

      And pray for railway service.

      That will do it.

Trucker Strike Impacted all Segments of Brazilian Economy

As you would expect, the trucker strike has had far ranging impacts on all sectors of the Brazilian economy, but here are a few of the highlights (or lowlights) for the ag sector.According to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), hog and poultry slaughter is off by more than 50% since the strike has begun. Sixty meat processing facilities are either shut down or on reduced schedules, mostly in southern Brazil. Millions of chickens and hogs have not eaten for several days and animal deaths are being reported.Poultry producers say it will take 45 days to resume normal production schedules after the strike ends.Feed manufactures are closed due to a lack of corn and soybean meal, feed deliveries to poultry and hog producers have been suspended.Soybean crushing plants are closed due to lack of soybeans.Meat processors are warning of spoiled products due to refrigerated trucks being stopped on the highways for days.Farmers are being forced to dump their milk and dairies and food processing facilities are shut down.Supermarkets are running low on meat products. Brazil is the largest poultry exporter in the world and poultry supplies are running out at the ports.Grain supplies at the ports are running out and grain loading will slow down or stop if new supplies don't arrive soon. This is just a partial list of all ripple effects of this strike. Imagine what would happen in the U.S. if all of a sudden all the trucks stopped moving. Now, double or triple that because of the very heavy reliance on truck transport in Brazil!

Brasília (AFP) - Brazil dispatched extra police to quell a strike by truckers opposing rising fuel and freight costs, after demonstrations turned violent.Find the best mortgage rate in CanadaRateSupermarket.ca SponsorNearing its second week, the strike has hit 11 of Brazil's 26 states. The southern regions of Rio Grande do Sul, Parana and Santa Catarina have been hit especially hard. One driver was killed when he was run over during a Saturday demonstration in Rio Grande do Sul as a lorry driver opposed to the action tried to break through a blockade."The federal government regrets the use of violence in the demonstrations, with vehicles looted and coercion against drivers who want to work," a statement from the presidential office read.Extra police were being dispatched to impose a court order passed last week forcing the strikers to end their action. The government estimated that 80 percent of the protests were now in the south of the country. On Wednesday, the government indicated it would freeze diesel prices for six months in response to strikers' demands. But Brasilia said the truckers would face heavy fines if they continued the stoppage that has slowed the delivery of foodstuffs in the nation with almost nine million kilometers (5.6 million miles) of highways. The protest has hit exports of goods including iron ore and soy, major earners for Brazilian firms, with deliveries to ports severely delayed.

                  I will say this again.

If brazil ever gets a rail system even close to ours - we will all be ranchers.

And we squander the opportunity with the likes of harper, Harrison ritz raitt etc. Etc.

                  We will never compete.

Canada's leaders should get their heads out their asses.

If you think the only problem in South America is rail transport, you've never been there.

                    LOL.
