    canola straw

    I am baling some canola for a neighbor and am wondering what moisture is safe. The sample was 80% green so he decided to bale it but what is safe moisture with the seed still in the pods? He figures anything under 20% should be safe. Anybody have experience good or bad? thanks

    I baled canola this year most was dry but some was testing 20 to 24 and it is fine so far.The 24 % heated a little then cooled off.
