    Harvesting damp cereals

Hi. I am interested in any advice on what to do with damp wheat or barley testing between 25 and 30. My thought is to leave in the field till spring because of the high moisture. Have contacted a few grain elevators and they are not interested in taking it because of too high moisture and would cost too much to dry. Any suggestions from anybody would be appreciated. Thank you.

The weather here in alberta seems to be condusive to getting it off. If it gets really cold it would be better to get it off and put it in a pile. If you leave it till spring you will certainly lose a lot to mice and other wild life. It is not an enviable position but you might find a cattle feeder who would take it as is, corrected for moisture. Hoe you get it off.
