    Avail, phosphorous fertilizer

Has anybody used this? It is a liquid seed treatment that provides the initial shot of P for the seedling? I think?
I was told (second hand) that it is very cost effective on canola (5 lbs seed works out to about .60/lb) and does show a difference in the field.
Debating about this or jumpstart for early P needs.

Ron here in australia there is liquid with the seed and foliar is just starting to be thought about by many.

Companys who produce foliar phosphorus are suggesting its helps with uptake of p which is locked up in the soil

my email is blacketp@bigpond.com i can send you some info if you wish

This comes from a document from a soils lab. " On the average 70-90% of the phosphorus used by the crop comes from the phos reserves in the soil while only 10-30 % of the phos fertilizer applied in a given year will be utilized by the crop. Therefore even with an aggresive fertilizer program, the crop depends upon -pre-exsiting phos reserves for its phos needs."
