I think it was AG Canada that was telling us to turn up the wind and blow infected kernals out thee back of combine. That always seemed counter productive to me.
I wonder if anyone is trying chaff collection to remove all infected kernals and chaff or maybe even some results from the Mcleod harvester.

Sell or rent the ****ing shit out. Let some other fool try to meet unattainable grade tolerances. To add insult to injury the junk fungicides claim nothing more than "suppression". $o go ahead and spray it, and if conditions persist spray it again, its only money and wear and tear on equipment. And in the end, the "Pickers" can get out their tweezers and 100X magnifying glass and find the grand sum of .25% to knock it down to two, .8% max for a two and 1.5 max for a three. The CGC does say they have
the right to use a 10 power magnifying glass to "look for fibrous growth". With any disease pressure at all, a one is almost impossible and in reality with the efficacy of the fungicides there is almost basically SFA you can do about it. Good ****ing luck....because THAT is all you can hope for!
Take care Ladies and Gentlemen.

Grain this year was good. But after seeing what is still living in the trash from 2014 crop a person can not let down their guard.Think a very good seed treatment helped. .Need more custom sprayer in our area that do not have their own to do first. I Agree sprayer is the most important part of a farm now.

The most effective factor you can control is fungicide head application timing.
You can scoff at high clearance sprayers and chem company's pushing their product but around here Prosaro or Carumba are game changers.
After that, variety.
You can burn, till, notill, whatever. I don't think it makes any difference.
