I am comparing grain varieties across the prairie provinces and would like to know what the top three varieties of wheat (red spring, durum and CPS, respectively) and the top three varieties of barley are that are grown in Alberta. Any help in this area would be appreciated. thanks in advance

There are 2 sources of variety popularity information. One is the CWB survey. And the other is Alberta Management Insights, a joint project between AAFRD and AFSC. The most popular 3 varieties are: CWRS - AC Barrie, CDC Teal, Roblin. Durum - Kyle, Sceptre, Plenty. CPS - AC Taber, AC Foremost, Biggar. Barley - Harrington, AC Lacombe, CDC Dolly.
