    How's this for a crop?

About the most advanced canola field I've seen in my area. Suffered poor germination on the hilltops as we were so dry early on. Canola on canola, seeded with old equipment. Step in post is 34" for those of you not familiar with them.

Looks good. How long did it flower for?

You can't seed canola with old equipment. Everyone knows that on here. Hahahahaha

Looks good but what's your total rainfall this year and subsoil moisture just curious?

Subsoil would be good last fall then 5 feet of snow over winter. 1/2" April, 3/4" May, 4 7/10ths June and two 1/4" shots in July already.

Grassfarmer, that canola appears a bit stunted. Was there frost or fertility issues I wonder?

Certainly no frost Braveheart, fertility maybe an issue it's a bit of an old fashioned outfit!

Klause, I wasn't paying a lot of attention but I'd guess it's been flowering 10 days at least.

Check fields when we got home... still moisture 1-2 " down, can make a mud ball.
