    Harvest Variety of CWRS

What is this variety like given the wet harvest? It is not supposed to sprout. How are yields, lodging and the straw at combining?

    #2
Have grown Harvest 2 years now.
Farm 30 minutes east camrose ab.
2 soil types. 3 HRS varities
Last year side by side Intrepid 10% better.
This year sowed it on 288 acre field-half new brushed and broke.
Does not go down. Will not sprout.(Do not spray seed)
    Easiest straight cutting.
Best grade. Earliest maturity-sowed May 28. Comparable yields.
    More specifics- e-mail me

Farm 1 hour SE of Camrose. Seeded half a quarter to AC harvest and the other half to Prodigy hrs on the same day(about may 11) AC Harvest ran about 55 and graded # 2 by two different grain companies. Nice to thresh, but bent over considerably more(had to cut low). Prodigy was about 8 inches taller, thicker straw(stood straight up) and more stools, but ran about 41. Graded # 3 by two companies. Prodigy has been good to me over the last few years but I'll be cleaning the AC Harvest for next year. Neighbour a couple of miles away seeded a 1/4 of AC Harvest-yield was 59.

Upon rereading my post I see the yield comparison with intrepid misleading--Harvest %10 better than.
Also wondering what conditions made Harvest bend over?

I'm guessing that the heads were filled good. The heads weren't big but they had a lot of wheat in them. We had some wind and driving rain on that crop that tipped the heads over.
