My fertilizer dealer says I need to get my tank inspected annualy. I use 4-5 tanks a year and I think this might be just a make work project for thier off season. Is this really required or not. thanks

I understand NH3 tanks must be inspected annually as part of an industry standard. The hoses are hydostatically tested and have an expiry date stamped on them. There are over 100 items inspected per tank and upon passing inspection, a CAAR sticker with an expiry date is affixed to the tank. Tanks without this certification cannot be filled.
