    Nitrogen prices

Just got a fax looks like someone is finally taking on Agrium and Saferco etc and bringing in cheap out of country nitrogen and shipping it in empty rail cars from the coast to farmers in western canada.
I hope farmers jump at this cheaper product for to long we have been getting skinned in western canada by a few companys whos profits have steadily increased while my income has steadily decreased.
A fert retailer I told this to last fall about bringing in cheaper nitrogen he said they would love to but when he checks his contract with Cargil it says he will loose his buisiness if he attempts to bring cheaper product to compete against them.
What a wonderfull world economy, as a farmer I have to get paid on the world market but when I try to bring in cheaper product from the world my hands are tied.
    great country.

have you heard is it going directly to farmers or through a retailer? And what do you mean by cheaper - 25, 50, 100 bucks under?

Shipped to rail sidings for unload have to take min 88 tons at 400 a ton plus maybe 8 to 10 depending on freight.
      410 - 465.00 (local Dealer) = 55.00 a ton X 88 = $4,840.00 need 4 cars you save $19,360.00
Use this with Generic true roundup.
      2.26 a liter x 5500 acres $12,430.00

add the two this will save your farm $31,790.00 or$5.78 an acre
