Looking for local farming groups to join

I'm was wondering if anyone knows of any farming groups around the Red Deer Area. Maybe such groups as a Hard Red Wheat groups or Barley groups that get together and have meetings on there crops. I find these very interesting and would like to join if possible. I am an agronomist in the Red Deer Area. I just moved here less then a year ago from another province.

Hi Darren, it looks like nobody grows cereals near Red Deer. Sorry about your luck.
I am just north of Red Deer and have never heard of such a group (although I am more into the work oilfield and drink beer group with my extra time than trying to be social with a group of 60 year olds). Maybe there is interest in starting something (I wont suggest the Gents Club, maybe Timmies?)

I kind of figured that there wasn't any,And the oil field is starting to look like a better industry to be in around here and the change may come very soon for myself.Just to bad there isn't agriculture related jobs in the oil filed. I know beer drinking fits into both fields.
