Saskfarmer3, Maybe this year, things are starting to turn around a bit, our friends at Monsan-- are now feeling the pinch with generics taking their place. Grain prices seem to be going the right direction for a change. It looks like this f!@#$$% winter is finally over. We'll all do what we do again, farm. It's a life style, I don't care what the Angribusiness boys say, they always make money, even in falling markets. We are price takers, not price makers, thats a fact. Biodiesel and ethonol hold some promise for the future, though I bet, we'll have to put up cash for a share to sell to them, and of course, they'll only want the best quality, weed free grain which will have to be contacted as usual, after all this is BIG BUSINESS, we are dealing with. Things change, but always stay the same, only the best will do! Remember the promise of straw board plants, what a bunch of bunk that turned out to be!

send them a message, you don't have to seed liberty link. There are some very good if not better alternatives in canola seed. We stopped using liberty link a few years back, great genetics but a horribly overpriced, marginal chemical. I hate the TUA's but R/R system works almost flawless everytime. Clearfeild system has some great chemical options now and their top hybrids(in this area) are performing very well.
Anyway, there are options other than liberty link. If/when libery comes down to that $10/12/ac it may be worth my time again. Bayer will continue to overcharge as long as they continue to sell out liberty link.
