    Wild Weekend

Southern Manitoba had a wild weekend with at least 10 confirmed tornados wreaking havoc across the southern half of the agricultural area. Friday's storms sent an F4 level tornado thru the town of Elie(west of Winnipeg)destoying 4 houses completely and damaging others.
Saturday saw the storms develop in the western part near the Saskatchewan border and move Pipestone to Baldur.Numerous farm yards were destroyed as well as a campground north of Killarney.
Sunday night brought extemely heavy rain, as much as 5 inches near Manitou as well as hail.
Amazing video from 2 storm chasers from Oklahoma who drove 23 hrs to chase the saturday storms in western Manitoba. See video @ TornadoVideos.net.
Incredibily only a few minor injuries and no fatalities

Any reports of damage or excess water around Somerset? Did the wind turbines in the area make it through OK? How are your crops looking. We are pretty well done seeding and just had a timely rain. Trying out a 60 ft Seedhawk tomorrow on last field. Wild weather on the way for us this weekend expecting 25 ft swells off the west coast

Lots of rain, some hail but no major structural damage to area farms. The storm was not as severe as it approached the Somerset area.
As I write this we have another tornado warning for the Carman-Roland area tonight as well as twoonie sized hail near Darlingford reported with heavy rain.
We are approaching 16 inches of rain since the May long weekend, hard to beleive it was dry when we put the crop in
