    Wire worms

I was wondering- do canola seed treatments control wireworms? Or are they a non-issue in canola?

Yes they can be an issue in canola, and no there is no control in any exsisting seed treatment. I have seen a few feilds that were hammered, only option is to reseed.

Actually wireworms are a problem that is , as far as I know, untreatabe at the moment. Wireworms are a difficult problem to spot at times because they usually thin out the crop. The cause is not always obvious.

In the past I used to try to rotate around the farm with a dual purpose seed treatment and it seemed to keep the little buggers at bay. New breaking in particular can be bad.

Haven,t had a problem recently but I,m not sure what I would do if I I did. Reseed I guess.
