C3 runs $7.5/ac, I'm not choosing it over anything else, but it's the only product other than Yield Max, which I don't like, used for that type of application and that I have seen alot of field scale results on. It does make a difference on RR especialy with these new high load formulations. They mentioned that this new product will be called "Oil Seed Extra". Like I said earlier there's probably a cheaper way to implement that concept. I will give the thumbs up to P3 though, it does wonders on peas if you are using Odysey. Other than that on cereals I'm still not convinced that anything other than some N at 3-5 leaf is necissary and again at flag and I think ESN will do the trick for the 3-5 leaf shot and free up some time, handling and hassel during spraying. A comparison is definately in order though.

ado i was reading your earlier posting about the vitamin. I guess thats the way i think in the way of feeding the crop. If i was to run a long marathon would i want all my food at the start and none for the rest of the race or would i want 50% at the start and 50% later on in the race. I would think a bit now and a bit later would make it easier to finish the race in good shape. I am certain a plant would react in the same way. Why load it up at the start then stress the crap out of it until harvest time. maybe just my way of thinking .

Ah good question? It's because plants don't normaly eat through their leaves, it's more like giving them an IV. So you have to be fairly precise with how much and when you feed them that way.

I found a bunch of nutrient uptake curves for wheat and canola, micros and macros. I haven't had time to analyze them in detail yet, mostly because they are done by days as opposed to staging, but there's some good infor there.

Agguy are you looking for work in s'toon?

As well ado with farming we try and do things as time allows and the cost of fuel. Farmers can't really slow down to much and sit and wait for optimum timming to spray a foliar on. The absolute best time to spray a foliar is between 3:00 am and 8:00 am. Or at least after 5:00 p.m depending on the temperature. But what guy is going to go out and spray at that time i understand this. As well guys also tend to spray when temps are to high for best results. We combine solutions so we can do one pass and move on.

Hey Ado i'll tell you why i'm looking for wotk in the S-toon area.

Over two years ago i was living out of province and we wanted to move to this area. I applied at this small company in the middle of nowhere. I was offered the position as agronimist but i told the guy i needed to find housing beofre i could accept the job. My wife and i couldn't find nothing close. the closest was 45 min either way of the job. He found us a house a ΒΌ mile from the yard for 380,000.00 dollars ya right then he found us another that anyone else would have used for a barn. He wouldn't allow me to drive since he was giving me a company truck but i offerd to pay any extra fuel. Any ways more crap happened and we couldn't find housing anywere and he got mad and it was over. I did not sign any contract or agreement with this guy.

Then he told every dealer in the country that i was hired and signed the agreement then backed out at the last minute. That i couldn't commit and a whole bunch of crap and slandered my name to who ever would listen. He did a great job. And i never signed anything and the deal was i had to find housing which we couldn't. And becuase he was a dealer they all took his world and yet he can't produce a signed contract if his life depended on it. My wife and i think he is the biggest piece of crap in canada. We spent alot of time and money comming out there to look at these places he found for nothing. And theres more to it as well how we tried and he was an idiot about. And to this day my wife tells me if i ever see that guy she aint stopping me.
