    Spraying

Waiting for the optimum spaying window is difficult. I have some barley that needs the oats and broad leafs removed. 5 frosts out of the last 8 nights. Kind of stalled but ready the spray. 1 night without frost and a nice day would be good to go? Moisture is good, just need heat to make these crops move here.

Whats the forcast where you are at with our forecast I'd wait until the late weekend or Monday. I was told 5 days with no temps below plus 5 because these plants have been so stressed by the multiple frost events and dry conditions. I think theres a double risk, one of damaging the crop further as it may not metabolise the product properly and one of the weeds not being active enough to take in the herbicide. A VERY challeging decision.

Guess we're lucky. No moisture, just frost. No crop, no decision.

Thanks MC, our moisture is good, just been to cold and frost. Forecast is good for the next several days. The crop has potential.

With the plants being very stressed right now and possible warm weather comming a dose of tilt in with your herbicide i believe it's about 4-5 ounces/acre. We did this a bit a few years ago in manitoba when they had that really wet spring and the plants were stressed. Alot of our fields were rust free and no need for a second application at full rate. Not sure if it was the small dose with herbicide or the luck of the draw. The idea is that you get some medicine in the plant and it helps carry it through to flagleaf.

hey and why does Viper need to be mixed with a nutrient 28-0-0 ???????
Is it because with out it your crop will be stressed and look like crap and cause the crop to go backwards and the 28-0-0 keeps it looking nice and green and the 28-0-0 helps it through the stress ???
