I think we can all agree times are a changing. For years it has been so hard to pull producers together into any kind of productive group that actually has a common vision. I believe that the reason for this is there has never been any real structure in the way these groups were formed and there was no accountability to those that were supposed to be the leaders.
I see producers from many diversified livestock species coming together before my eyes and actually excited about a shared common vision. The organizational structure conforms with new legislation and also the hot issues of the day. Finally I can see a group with common interests (despite their differences) and totally producer
centered that will change the face of agriculture in Canada.
