Does anyone understand the new system for assessing losses under the the Alberta Forage Insurance plan if you pasture the crop instead of haying it? Our understanding is that if you pasture it before they visually inspect it, that they assume that you had 50% of the crop and if there is a claim that 50% is not paid. In other words you pay 100% of the premium for a possible 30% coverage. Is this what everyone is finding?
