this unit i have has no starter ring gear on flywheel ! is it possible to find one and your jd M has one ?
the flywheel measure is 11/ and 1/8 inch.
some a12 combine ,s came out with Hercules engine! ours is jd luc has bellhousing and place for starter.
very interesting little two cylinder to get going .
