I have an airseeder with 3-bar harrows and am wondering what to do for packing? Should I harrow, heavy harrow, harrow/pack, or use a landroller? I realize packers are preferred but is this to save an extra pass with harrows or what? This is intended for cereals but comments on canola would help. thanks

It all depends on the type of opener you are using. If the seed is in a narrow band you might use gang mounted or shank mounted packers and pack only the seed rows.
If the seed is in a wider band or spread across the width of your air seeder then harrow packing seems to do a good job in most conditions.
