    Scouting fields from above with UAV drones? Thoughts on the value of this?

    Hi Everyone,

    A new tool being promoted by precision ag people is the uav (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) drone. We caught up with a crop consultant experimenting with a new uav and he was scouting corn and wheat.

    I am wondering what people think of this technology and if there is any value in the images that can be captured?

    We are going to follow up and get some images done on our crops to see if it is better than crop scouting from below...
