    combine hitch

Want to build a hicth behind 7721 John Deere combine, to blow chaff into jiffy dummp. Can it be build so wagon does not run over straw?

don't know, but was considering pulling a jiffy dump instead of chaff wagon behind my JD 9600. Do you know of anyone who has done that? you don't think it would be too heavy for the combine?

We had a wet fall here a few years back and a lot of guys had to leave their corn standing until spring, I remember a few of them running JD 750 drills behind the combine no-tilling soybeans right behind it and I don't think they had trouble with the weight. As for the straw, maybe it would be easier to rig something to kick the straw out the side instead of straight back?

I pulled a Jiffy High dump for a few
years behind a 503 IH. The weight
did not give any trouble. I expected to
burn out a traction belt every year but
never took out any. I put a big swath
through it so I went very slow. The
problem with that combine was that
the hydraulic resevoir was too small
for those big rams and the pump
was very slow. I never did solve the
        tire in the straw problem.

I moved the wheels out on the right side, two feet so it dose not tramp down the straw. Had no trouble pull the jiffy dump and trail good.
