    JD CTS Combines

    I'm considering buying a CTS combine, and would like to know about their performance. Also can you bale straw behind it? Thanks

    The cts combines are very good. They have at least equal capacity to a 9600 and as much as 2 times the capacity. The more straw coming in, the greater the capacity difference. The straw is baleable behind a cts, but there is not as much volume unless the dew is on. Purchasing the 500 rpm pulley to slow down the tine separators really helps. It will decrease your capacity some, but definately give more straw.

    In my opinion the cts combines are a very good buy right now.
