Twin Nh3 nurse tank

I use Nh3 at seeding and now with a bigger drill the delivery truckers don't want to work 24/7 so I need them to deliver more while they are working. Should I use winch and have a couple of wagons, or one big twin eg.2500 plus. are the twin wagons tippy (have a few hills)

I use twin 1000's works fine in hills, not tippy at all. Tires are spaced wider than my air drill tires. 2500 gallons will pull heavy so you will need lots of power to pull in your hills. I would not consider using two tanks and hooking and unhooking. But I suppose if you are willing to work with the anhydrous at night when you are tired maybe OK if you have extra help. More hoses and valves to be updated and checked on twin tank setups.

Why do we need to work all night? Don't you put enough hours in during daylight hours?

Power is not an issue, but time is. I agree hooking up is a pain. I am lusting after a big single tank 3000 gallon. As far as working all night yousound like my wife. What I mean is when last fill is at 8 pm and next one won't be till 8 am. I can spit off a 1750 in 3 hrs so 9hrs with no go.

My wife too..... I remember when I was out delivering ammonia until after midnight and then up again before 6. I was apparently a bear to work with at home. Glad I don't do that anymore.

I have heard people talking about having a second tank but don't actually know anyone that does that. But really I think it would be more hassle than worth on my farm. My delivery is much better than yours. A couple nieghbours go all night with service here. Do you get timely fills? I suppose you have checked out other dealers? I would pay extra for better service over having to own two separate tanks.

When your choice is between the big bad multinational or the local independent. I have chosen the independent, even if only for the fact that there are the same people there every year. the big guys are always different people and they wait until the independent sets their price and thenthey match it,

Have twin 1250`s on a Pattison trike.Good arrangement.Seems industrial enough.A single would probably be higher.Am thinking this will accept a `heavy` load better.Any spring delivered prices out yet??

Just a little bit cynical but do you think that with 4 dollar barley, 5 dollar feed wheat, and 9 dollar canola. that nh3 will be cheaper next spring then it was this spring. (I might be a little low on the grain prices) I would assume that all our local fert agronomsts (fert. salespersons) will be advising that more is better.
