    parts from USA

Anybody getting parts mail order from the US? I ordered some stuff from Summitracing a couple days ago, it looks like it will be 30% cheaper than buying local. I prefer to buy local but on some big ticket items (that time isnt a factor) it is a lot of cash. (This is for my pickup which is borderline hot rod stuff, still cheaper than a diesel though)
What about tractor parts? Are John Deere parts cheaper in Montana?

parts arrived yesterday, 16 days from ordering. The parts cost a total of 178.35 with gst, shipping and $5.00 handling charge from customs, no duty. The parts would have cost 287.35 here from 3 separate suppliers (drive to Edmonton or shipping).
I am going to look at stocking up on filters and common ag parts while the dollar is still strong.

Checked out some prices on 20 HP electric motors the other day. These are motors made in USA. Price only 8% more in Alberta than Montana. And that was a June 07 price list for the Alberta dealer. Go figure!
