hello all. we are thinging of purchasing a used 391 new holland tub grinder. does anyone have any feed back on them, good or bad. we have to feed our calves differently this year since we didn't get any square bales made for mixing with our mixmill. any comments would be appreciated, thanks.

I used to own one!!
It worked real well and was very easy to service. One thing we did do all the time was make sure if we left it outside during winter that we put it in a heated shop to thaw things out before using. If we didn't then we had trouble with the rollers that turn the tub.
Also we put it in for summer so the belt would not be exposed th the summer sun.

If I remember correctly the NH tubgrinders were marketed under another name like GEHL or something. If you check with Reg Cox feedmixers they will know the proper name & model of the machine that was a twin to the NH. That way you may be able to get a better price on parts. Tub grinders are the way to go this year. Best of luck!
