Pup trailer info

looking at buying pup for my tandem and spring suspension is cheaper than air ride . Wondering how tandem will ride empty (it has air ride) if pulling a pup trailer with spring suspension. Our highways are really rough especially when running empty.

I pull tandem grain trailers behind a truck tractor. One trailer has spring and one has air bags, I do not feel any difference in the cab as both trucks have air bags. Although when I load up and watch the air gage it sure is nice to know how much weight you have on. Did you price out a trailer with a salvaged air suspension? My castleton trailer is built that way and I have checked it over well and so has another mechanic, it is in mint shape.
