    Precision Farm Parts?

Does anyone have any experience or know of someone who does with upgrading their combines with the after market components from Precision Farm Parts (Sherwood, ND)? I talked to the guy, Mike, along with two farmers who were working his booth with him at Agdays in Brandon. He sounds very impressive with what he says. They gave some advice on what to remove from IH rotors and JD 7720/21 combines that just cause problems apparently. Makes sense. I brought up Kuchar's ideas and parts too. I wonder how the two of them compare.

He cuts down the impellers to make the material flow into the rotor better. He gave an example of one custom operator in the states that has them worn down so much that he has better feeding. Also to get rid of the back three rub bars that are run in a line with each other but at an angle of the roto. Suppose to be the cause of all the rumbling that my dad was not happy with with our 'new' 1480. Also suppose to allow to run all night long with them. His website is www.pfparts.com

The Marlins Impeller Blade kits look similar to what PF Parts do for less than $200.

Muttley, how have you delt with Mike over the years?

In the 2008 issue of The Book, there is another guy from ND that has built, called the Makeeff Rotor Kit. The PF Parts looks more effective but the claims are similar. The website for that one in SK is www.herle.ca

tman, I use Mike's business as a drop off point for my American customers. In doing so I have crossed paths with alot of farmers who deal with him. I find he is a reputible dealer who is very customer oriented.
