Sprayer. We are thinking of a Used Rogator or a used
JD. What are the pros and Cons of each what other
    sprayers would you suggest?

    Thanks in Advance.

John Deer dealership 4 miles away. Any other
      dealership 100 miles.

I heard it can be hard to get parts for the Rogator.

I think CaseIH is number one. Bought myself the New CaseIH But don't know anything about it cause Its not here.
Over one month over due. So they can shove a combine deal.

I like my spray coupe 7650 - if you want a low cost high clearance - 2wheel drive and mechanical drive ,easy on fuel

mustardman, i was looking at that 7000 series Spraycoupe (7660) at the Progress Show this summer, i think it would suit our farm quite well, tank size, hp, $$$, etc. But, what do you think of the strength/weight of the booms??? i was concerned that they seemed a little on the light side, and might fatigue or sag after traveling over direct seeded fields after a couple of years. do you have many hours on yours and how are they standing up??? i currently have a 3640 and have been happy with the brand, but would like to upgrade and add auto steer. anyone else familiar with the 7000 series Spray Coupe??? any known weaknesses???

I have about 400 hours on our 7650 and booms are good so far. I took to dealer to have them increased to 90 ft from 80. The salesman did tell me that they were the same boom as on the rogator- check this out I could be mistaken- same company owns both

They do say the new model is smoother rilding than mine sonething about pivot points where frame connected to wheels.
Mine is a little on the rough side (maybe discer ridges from the past) so I usually only travel about 13mph in fields. But this is a step up from my pulltype

We have a 1254 Rogator and feel it stands up very well. With pivot tracks and other terrain the booms are very strong and have had no problems. Sprayer now has 1900 hrs on it and thinking of upgrading from our 90' to a 120' to reduce crop loss in fungicide and crop dessication. If interested drop me a line. It is a 2002 with 2 sets tires,90', 1200 gal tank, GPS, Auto Boom height control. It has air ride cab and is a very sturdy machine.
