I am a HS science teacher and people bring all sorts of questions to me because I can usually find the answers. This latest one has me at a loss, but it seems familiar. I am trying to identify where this part comes from (I think it is off a piece of farm equipment such as a sickle mower):
On a farm in Southern Oklahoma a former owner used some steel bars as fence posts.
These bars are 5'-6' long and T****zoidal in cross-section. About 1/2" thick, the long side is 4" while the opposite side is about 1/2" shorter so that the fourth side is beveled.
something like this: http://study.com/cimages/multimages/16/T****zoid.png
It has square holes along it at intervals.
Can anyone identify what this might be from?
