    what are yourTX66 settings?

Purchased a TX66 this fall, very happy with it so far but would like some ideas on settings in Canary seed or Barley. We are finding the book suggested settings are not working in our situation as we are cracking to much. We are still experimenting but.... maybe we're missing something as it's quite a different animal
from what we are used to.

I don't know if I will be any help because I don't combine either of those crops but I do have a TX66 combine. If you have an aftermarket concave try taking the filler plates out at the front of the concave. I wonder if you changed the covers on the rethreshers to the smooth ones like we use for peas and lentils if that would work. Did you try putting the rotary separator down to the slow speed?
Don't know if I have been any help but sure hope so, I spent many a puzzled moment the first year we had ours but sure like it since.

Had a TX now running a Cat. Put the cylinder at around 500 rpm open concave to defer as much thrashing as possible to rotary seperator to increase throughput. When set right should be able to do 1200 bushel per hour.
