frustrated 1: you mentioned on another thread that you had quite good luck with your baler. I believe you said you have a BR780. I have a 2004 BR780 with the wide pickup and it also baled good all year except for some tie problems. Just curious what type of problem you had and how they fixed it.

Tie problem was that the auto wrap would randomly decide to tie the bale and then not stop cycling. Ended up fixing it myself as they didn't seem to have any idea and there were no mechanics available any time it did it. The clutch stop simply needed adjustment. It was barely touching the cog. After taking it apart a couple of times I got it working, then discovered there's a section in the book on how to adjust it. Should have about three sixteenths overlap. Solved the problem. Hope that helps.

Thanks frustrated 1. I had a little different problem with my auto wrap. The tie arms where out of adjusment and coming back and hitting the frame and before I realized it was happening the big gear wore out. Also one tie arm had a bit too much weld up by the spring loaded washer and the twine would slip off the side and cause grief. Seems kind of funny that the adjustment is out on both our machines. Maybe HH needs to look for a new quality control man. Anyway after those few aggravating problems the baler worked like a charm. I was actually very pleased with it's performance.
