    case 2470 motor repair problems

    I have a 2470, rebuilt the motor about 200 hour ago, then it droped an exaust valve, rebuilt the damaged cylinder and head, 50 hours later it dropped annother valve. Has anyone else had this problem?

      Agri-ville is currently at the Farm Progress Show. I have asked your question to Case reps and this is one possible suggestion. The problem could be insufficient oil to rocker arm.           Did the machine shop check the valve margine? We had a 2670 and had a
          similar problem. The machine shop did not check the margine and as a result
          the valve broke. With the proper margine it is a rare occaision to brake a valve.
