    grain bins

anyone know which bins are good and which are not? Looking at going with goeble, seem to be the best buy right now.

I have had Goebel bins for a number of years on my farm. I have 12 of them all on hoppers. To me any bin on a hopper is a good bin. Some things to look for though. There is no inspection hole on the roof. The roof seals tight to the walls so there is very little venting or breathing of the bin. If the bin is used for areation it is hard to get rid of excess moisture. It tends to accumulate on the roof and run down the inside of the walls causing problems. I hope this helps in your decision.

I have a few of those bins and I always put 2 vents in the roof to help with air movement. We would normaly put them in any bin with air. they are Not a bad bang for the buck.
