    Chev Vortec 4.3L V-6 engine

    Can anyone give me comments on a Chev Vortec 4.3L V-6 engine (any problems, fuel mileage, pulling capabilities, etc.)? We are considering the purchase of a 98 pickup with this engine. I would also like to know if anyone has experience with a Sears 60075 (Kohler Pro OHV engine). Would they recommend this riding mower?

    Our experience has been good mechanically. You likely won't get over 20 mpg (14L/100km). Relative to its bigger V8 brothers it has pretty good torque at about 250 ft-lb. But it will run out of horsepower towing much on the freeway.
