    D****r Headers for combines

Need a comparison between AgCo d****r heads and MacDon d****r heads from someone who is running them on AgCo combines.

I have only operated Honeybee D****r's and have been very impressed with them in both cereals and pulse crops. I would recommend them to anyone regardless of what color of machine they drove.

I purchased a new MacDon header last year (973). I wish I would have purchased a Honey Bee. They are a nicer header. I am not knocking the MacDon, it is also a nice header. But there are things on the HoneyBee that I liked better. You have the weigh the pro and cons. The MacDon does have some pros over the Honeybee also.

I've had an AGCO 5000 header 3 years now on my R75. I like it but haven't any to compare with. As well I haven't had much luck cutting pulses when they go down bad which seems like every year for me. Determined to try diff. things again next fall.

All we cut here in Kansas is wheat and milo- Maybe a few soybeans. Don't want to sound stupid- but never heard of a pulse crop. Elaborate please.

Peas, lentils anything that fixes it's own nitrogen is a pulse crop. Soybeans are a pulse crop.

We have had d****r headers since 1999 and would not consider anything else. Had a Macdon and was happy with it but also used a 1020 flex header to cut peas. This year we bought a flex d****r header (2062 Macdon) and also bought a new Honeybee. Both are very nice but now with the flex d****r I can sell the 1020 flex header. The flex d****r did just as good or better picking up peas flat as a pancake. They are very expensive but now I can eliminate one header. So anyone who needs a 1020 flex header, I have one for sale. Its a 30 foot with a pickup reel.
