    Mig Welders

Was wondering if anyone had info about mig welders- what brands to buy or not buy, price ranges, features to look for or need, any place to maybe find used ones? It would be used for general farm use.

I have a Miller 150, have had it for quite a few years and have used it to build corral panels and bin hoppers so it has seen a lot of use-works great. I believe that model has been replaced by a 180. Just some thing to keep in mind if you want one for sheet metal (14-16 gauge) and light tubing some thing that burns 0.30 to 0.35 wire is big enough if you want to weld heavy stuff then bigger is better. When I bought mine I wanted something to weld the light stuff as I had the stick welder for the heavy end.
    Hope this is some help-Regards

We have an ESAB which is a unit that is both MIG and stick. Can't remember model number. Have had for about 4 years and has been reliable.
