I am looking at purchasing a gps. So many on the market, but have it narrowed down to 2,Outback and Centerline. Don't want autosteer. Any info good or bad about either would be greatly appreciated

Neighbor bought Outback this spring and was very happy with it. Too easy for words he said.

I have both outback and trimble, I find the outback is more user friendly and accurate.

We have an Outback system that is 3 years old that works very well : easy to learn / use. Never had a loss of signal problem, no power trouble or any other issues. It is an Outback S along with the Outback 360 which is the mapping component.
However, we are trading JD tractors and have decided to upgrade to Deere's Autosteer system. Therefore we have an Outback system FOR SALE at a very reasonable price. If you are interested please reply to : lenzy@oanet.com

Got an Outback S this spring and am very happy with it. My neighbour got a centerline and was very disappointed with it. Apparently everytime he went around a bush or slough it would lose its position. So it would have to be reprogrammed

wade I do have autosteer with the outback. It is very accurate on rolling land, but I would not recommend having fields longer than 2 miles in length as you can get a bit of drift.

Have an EzSteer for a couple years and pretty happy with it. Have used guidance for a couple years and once I went to auto steer, no going back. The ezsteer goes in our tractor, swather and combine but not sprayer as we spray at 17 mph and have not made it work above 10 mph, our sprayer is older and has lots of play in the steering.
If you just want guidance and have a JD combine with a display in it, find a used mobile processor for about $400 and the guidance software is free from JD.
The one note on any of them is that if you are doing long fields and slow speeds I would suggest getting sat correction. I know Waas works but it does drift and bounce around.
