    Outback eDrive issues

Has anyone had any problems with their edrive. Mine has started to get very jerky and losing the track. It seems to work fine for a couple of hours than all of a sudden after a turn it messes up. I've switched out the S drive and it makes no difference. Adjusting the flow valve seems to make no difference either. Sometimes letting the machine sit for a while will corect the problem but not always. Any suggestions?

I have a raven auto steer that wouldn't work this spring, swapped out two hydraulic valves in the control box, now it works better than it ever did.

It's a Ford 9282. Worked fine all last year.

            Same cart?

            Same RPM ?

Sounds like hydraulic flow issues imo?

My outback would lose track occationally and have problems with the light steering light bar. To correct I have to turn the auto steer box off and back on again a minute later, never tried turning off and on instantly. I follow light bar after turning auto steer box off and then works good after turning box back on again. Have a brand new unit in the smaller John Deere tractor doing the same thing. The same new unit in the sprayer is working fine. I never talked to dealer about it yet.

I turn my e drive box off and on fast and seems to correct malfunctioning light bar for a while. Defenantly a problem here, hope updating the sprayer software didn't cause any problems.

It turned out to be the manual flow control valve on the hydraulic controler. Screwed a new one in and it worked just fine.

How did you decide that that valve was the problem? Is this an edrive flaw?

I called down to Iowa or wherever they make these things and that what they said to swap out. I don't know if it's a flaw or not, this unit is a few years old alredy.
