The cylinder speed adjuster operated from inside the cab is chain driven at the sheaves. Last year we had numerous instances of the chain jumping the
wood tightener. We made adjusting a two man operation, one to adjust and
one to watch the chain.
Prior to this harvest the adjuster sprocket was replaced and shimmed.
Although much improved, the problem still exists. Is there an easy solution to this problem or is there a way to upgrade this system?
