Growing Coriander

I would like information on how to grow coriander. Seeding rate, date, chemicals used, seeding depth, fertilizing, harvesting,etc. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Not sure where you farm,but there is an excellent report by Dr. Al Slinkard et al from University of Saskatchewan. You can download at
wwww.agr.gov.sk.ca/apps/adfreports/19930157/. You may want download the rpeorrt at a slow time, as the report is 89 pages but it is very thorough on thr growing of both coriander and caraway.

Seeding rate is 13 - 22 lb/ac at a depth of 1 to 11/2 inches. Seeding is usually early in May. Avoid fields that were sprayed with Pursuit or Odyssey the previous year as the residue can be a problem. A clean field is critical due to slow germination of coriander and susequent slow closing of canopy. Most common fertilizer recommendations are from 27-54 lb/ac of Nitrogen and 36 lb/ac of phosphorus. Edge & Poast are both registered for weed control in coriander.
Harvest occurs when approximately 80% of the seeds have turned purple brown. Coriander is considered dry for storage at 10% moisture content.
Yields average from 700 to 900 lb/ac and can be as high as 1200 lb/ac.
