the title of the thread implies that we are talking about moisture in peas, so I'll stick with that theme

Again boys we will be ready today! Were are all the peas is question plus is $5.05 really a good price off combine. Answer no one can come up with is where are the peas. Any way Bins are ready to take. Just Combines weren't ready. Some days every thing doesn't come together yesterday was one of those days. Now also had a buddy that said Richardson wouldn't take his peas if not at 14. Ill check today. And yes it did spit last night so will have to wait till afternoon. But if their 16 to 17 will take today.

As far as I know dry is 16. I know cracking will be huge at anything less than that. We should finish our peas tomorrow.

CGC specs 16 is dry. Unless they are paying a premium for 14 they need to be reminded of that.

We are advised to harvest at between 16-20% moisture then dry with air to 16%. Less seed coat damage and sprouting my become a big issue with a lot of peas laying flat on wet ground this year.

at 14% MC, you'll damage 25% of your peas. Maybe they'll pay you for feed, thats even cheaper than paying for yellows.

Won't Pakistan need alot of peas, aid will pay for them.

Put them in a bag, I hear that works great for tough grain. Didn't you mention that you were going to bag them and wait for a higher price. Hopper bins with air are the way to go. I could rent you mine but they are still full from last year no raven holes to tape up on top of those babies. Glad I dont have a crop or I might have had to buy a grain bagger, yeah right.
