Green Peas

Anyone attend the pulse day at Crop Prod Week and have any info on the outlook for old crop green peas. Are there lots left in farmers bins? We are over 1/2 sold.

S & D currently has kept the market sideways in the 9.00 range. I expect to see good demand for green peas in the Spring position. Jan / Feb are always a dog. With the ability to move green peas in to markets that accept bleach up to 50% really there is no such thing as a feed pea for reasons of bleach, and prices for lower quality have been comparable to a #2 and a #3 yellow pea, making greens a great choice for revenue. As for price increase, we know this: supply is the lowest is likely a decade of all peas, including greens. Some folk are talking values to increase: we have seen a 12$ green pea before, but I add, there is nothing wrong with selling in this range. Go green!
