Love the way the academic crushes the little NFU'ers arguments.

Yeah, you can't beat the unbiased opinion of a
        scientist eh?

University of Melbourne major donors 2010 -
        $100,000 to $500,000 - Monsanto USA.

Just think, if the NFU had deeper pockets the
professor would be championing the cause of the
        CWB.

hes not been in SA that i know but every year we get a troupe of canadian farmers and or experts telling us the evils of gm crops.

but hey for me i doubt i will grow them no real need here yet but i beleive farmers should have choice to do so if they wish without the constant rhetoric that goes with it.

ps all gm crops thus far in australai have yeild penalty in dry areas my agronomist supports it with all there trials but he says it may well change down the trrack

ProFarmer: Perhaps you will change when ALL of the weeds on your farm are RoundUp resistant...every year more and more of this resistance is occurring.

Oh yeah profarmer, I'm real scared of change.
I sold up an 8th generation farm operation, changed
                    countries, changed continents, changed the
management of my new land, the grass and the
water. I changed the way we produce our protein
product, changed the way we market it. I love change
                    - progressive, environmentally and financially
                    sustainable change.
I have no interest in dumb change, change for the
sake of change, change that is not environmentally
                    sustainable.

                    Malleefarmer,
What happens to the choice of farmers who wish to
NOT grow GM crops when they are introduced by
those who do? Contamination has occurred
everywhere GM crops are introduced. This is a genie
that can't be put back in the bottle.

Contamination was the plan all along.
                      Stirring everything ta gether once
produced, resulted in our nort amerikcan
                      gm market, dominated by mono.
Orchestrated by mono, very good plan,
                      cousin Comedian framers are soooooo
                      stupid!

there are two states in australia that have a ban on gm crops our being one of them.

there lots of talk in others states about contamination and court cases etc but always always is as torm in a tea cup and gm crop growers win, and the non gm guys are the antagonistic ones. i as i stated take litttle interest as i doubt i will grow so my opinion as always is worth zilch. i shouldnt have even commented sorry.

Don't worry Malle, its seriously less of an issue than
these guys are talking about, cross contamination
uncontrollable weed problems bla,bla,bla-is all UTTER
                          nonsense.

Hitting a crop with a pesticide before it goes to
market makes me want to kill a chemist, but round up
ready canola makes me want to hug one-never
known anyone to make that stretch.

                              Wilagro,

Tillage is a very much greater problem... than herbicide resistence... the loss of our top few inches of soil with destroy civilisation. Herbicides have saved our soils, air, and provided plenty of good safe food... to the point were we are living a very very long time.

Nice Problem to have and complain about... right Wilagro?

If you had been born in 1850... and could have seen our good healthy food and life expecatancy of the citizens today... or even if you were from Russia, Africa, or the 40 million that live in caves in China... don't you agree the story told would be totally different? I know... it is fun to be a troll!
