I agree with nicolaas... I live and farm in an area known as gods country and really there is not much intelligence around... As far as peas go.. Keys to success are as others have noted... One thing not mentioned is the check after cleaning to ensure seed sample has not been mechanically damaged. Seen some major wrecks with what was good seed after it was cleaned. We roll everything pre emergence if possible unless ground is too wet. Seed at 1.25" and let the roller squish a little dirt into the side walls of the furrow to seal in the moisture. Double inoculating is only necessary on virgin ground other wise after a couple of rotations you are simply throwing money away. Zero yield difference with accapella this year on a checkstrip left untreated... Still will use fungicide on peas every year. Have seen huge paybacks in the past, just not this year. Don't buy the just throw some 11-52 down and call er good.. All plants need balanced nutrition. Soil test and follow recommendations will be your best bet. Have done the 11-52, no fert, balanced blend to soil test recs trials and have seen very large differences in the past. Canola stubble seems to work awesome for growing peas in this area.. Help keep their feet dry in a wet spring.

And get this...the answers pertained to a reported offensive "f*@ing" remark regarding an Israeli report in a national paper. The questions were all about Iraq and the 30 day role of our small contingent of military "advisors" in that country.
There was no connection between the answers and the questions whatsoever.
You never heard that swear word repeated so often by a Conservative politician.
It was obvious that the shock value of that cuss word was expected to have deep impact. To me it totally back fired.
The questioner came out looking sharp and capable of thinking on his feet. The goons stood and cheered at cuss words and total disdain for the institution and lack of respect for simple legitimate questions required to be truthfully answered.
The speaker was impotent.

Mike Duffy's trial starts April 7, 2015. One by one the Con's will be called to the stand, and will do what ever it takes to save their own sorry asses. Harper himself my have to get his own over weight body into the box and testify. Justice will be served.
Harper's own hired gunman will bring him down. Karma is so sweet

Mjolnir
All cheats and crooks should be brought to justice. So are you saying all criminal charges against Duffy should be dropped because Harper's right hand man paid back money Duffy cheated taxpayer out of? Are you serious?
Mjolnir, typical Con answer point fingers at other people.

Peas aren't that complicated. seed them shallow into warm soil and hope it doesn't rain on them until flower and fill. If it get too wet a nodulation you're effed. Krause if find you're row spacing comment interesting. I always though we got better pea crops on 9 and 10" spacings then we ever do on twelve. I was actually considering trying to find a disc unit on 8" for peas and cereals...maybe not a good idea.

Today the speaker of the House informed Canadians and their elected representatives that they should have no expectations of receiving an answer to any questions presented during question period. Let alone "satisfactory" answers
The speaker made it clear that there would be repercussions if his biases were questioned. He also defended doing nothing about the governing party deciding to ignore questions that were decided would not be entertained.
The question is if the founders of this nation intended that such behavior in Parlament was to be the way business would be conducted.
If not; then in what time period did politicians diverge from "Question/Answer Period" to strictly question peiod when it was considered expedient. Because the speaker never contemplated that possible founding principal. Those were days of nation building; and we are now seemingly in the demolition stage of democacy.
I'm thinking there is so much more that Parliament could be.
But no intention by Conservatives to weaken their grasp on the levers of power. The fortunate thing is that the electorate does occassionally uncerimoniously damp despots. And they will perhaps hold a wake and wonder how they became so out of tune with their former electorate.
