      Klaus.
I grew peas on flax stubble and will never do that again. Used Viper. Volunteer flax just laughed at it. Had a horrible volunteer flax problem. Nothing worse than those spindly green flax plants.
Actually I may never seed peas again after this year. A canola wheat rotation is looking good to me right now.

You won't cut your peas for the volunteer flax in them Klause. Huge problem... I've grown them on invigor and pioneer rr stubble.. High rate of authority and heat preburn.. In crop with viper or this year only a 20% pursuit rate and assure II. Authority got like 95% of volunteer canola.. One thing I swear by on peas on canola stubble is myke pro.

Peas will go on worked stubble or canola worked stubble. No spraying if temps drop. Cross fingers eyes and toes. Hope for the best.

I did grow peas on Flax stubble this year. Yea there was volunteer after Odyssey, kinda stunted and spindly but there was still enough there in rows. Our Flax straw got baled and hauled to Manitoba last year, the heavy harrows didn't see that field so not alot of flax would have germinated last fall or early this spring before a preburn. We dessicated the peas with Glyphosate and it actually didn't cut that bad. Would I do it again? Not if I don't have to.

Klause you didnnot grow flax this year. Did you rent more land? As far as peas and moisture I would not make a decision to grow on dried up land. Sask3 has possibly excess moisture. Not many in most other places do. Then again we were drier last year this time. I dont know. I guess 30 years of dry is hard to get over. Burry me in mud.
