Oh my. How sad. He was a great contributor to this site. I feel like I knew him, though I never met him.
I am very sad, very shocked, and will remember his family in my prayers.
How old was he, Klause? I know he talked of his kids etc.
Rest in peace, Hopper.
Wow.

So sad to read about this tonight. His posts were often humorous and funny. If you happen to be up late in the middle of the night, there was often a post from Hopperbin.
Condolences to his family.
Klause, will you link the Obit when available.

Sympathies to his family. I never personally met him but had fun ribbing him online. Leaves kind of an empty feeling.
You realize, I never personally met any one of you but there is a sense of comradery here, for me, and would feel the same sense of loss about anyone of you.
As I've signed off many times before, take care, there are family and friends who need us in so many ways.
Thanks to everyone for making this online community what it is!

A very sad day indeed. Had just nicely settled in for a nice campsite visit with my good friend Klause and Darcy when this tragic news came through. Only met Kurt a couple of times and what always baffled me were some of his hilarious posts, that never actually matched up with person I had met. Life is so precious and with one quick mistake is so easily taken. My sympathies to his children and family. Rest in peace Hopper ...
